Bees just have a way of getting in people's bonnets, bugs just have a way of getting up people's asses. Maybe we're all crazy from the heat. Who the fuck knows?

Good poll question, though, k-man.

Box of Rain is most likely the odds-on favorite, and perhaps should be. Just an all-around wonderful song and one of their true classics.

Lou made a damned good call with Sunrise-easily one of the most deeply emotional recordings within the catalogue. And while I was leaning toward Blow Away, I'm going to put my money on a long shot and put in a vote for Way To Go Home. It will probably be the only Vinnie song that gets mentioned in the thread, and I really do like it. Really.

you were lucky then, to like it, since they played it so often... I prefered the much disrespected Samba in the Rain from Vince

Not necessarily lucky to like it, more lucky to be able to see more than a single Dead show a year. So repetition of anything was not an issue for me.

Gotta go with "Valley Road", sung by Bruce.

Love the song, even if it wasn't played that well w/the Dead (terrific versions exist on some of Bruce's own live releases), but I do get the feeling Jerry really liked the tune (evidenced by his back-up singing "walk on, walk on, walk oooonnnnn!") on some versions.

Cool tune, rarely played.
